Our Current Project to update our By-laws

We have never legally updated our name and the last time we updated our Bylaws was 1965.

In order to do this now, we need to ask our members – i.e. our recipients – to approve new Articles of Organization with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where we are incorporated.

As a member and gratuity recipient, you can approve this proposal by printing off the ballot that was mailed to you, (and posted on this website), writing in your vote and mailing it back to us.

This website contains:

the letter that was mailed out to our members,

the ballot we are asking our members to fill out and mail in, and

a “frequently asked questions” page.

In addition, we have provided several documents on a Reference Page.

These include what we call “Continuation Sheet A” - the now standard legal language we need to add to the updated Articles of Organization.

We have also included a copy of our current Bylaws from 1965 and a copy of the original Articles of Organization from 1910 for our members’ review.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Rev. Jeffrey Barz-Snell or the Rev. Sheldon Bennett at their contact information on this site.

We thank you for filling out your ballot and mailing it back to us, as we endeavor to be good stewards and managers of this fund that benefits our retired clergy.
